Hammersmith and Fulham schools triumph in Yellow Woods Challenge

Youngsters at Kenmont Primary School in Hammersmith & Fulham won £300 to help improve their environment after collecting the most Yellow Pages directories locally in a new schools recycling initiative.

The Yellow Woods Challenge, run by Yellow Pages, the Directory Recycling Scheme and the Woodland Trust working together with Hammersmith & Fulham Council, awarded the second prize of £200 to St Mary's RC Primary School (Addison ward), and the third prize of £100 to John Betts Primary School (Ravenscourt Park ward).

Councillor Charlie Treloggan, Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham said: "This has been a very exciting competition and we are delighted that teachers and pupils have shown such enthusiasm during the Challenge."
